Richard S. Maitland, 50, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Brookpark. Richard grew up in Avon and worked as a chef in the Cleveland area for almost 30 years, most recently at the Union Club in Cleveland. He was a avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing and wildlife. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, John R. and Patricia. He is survived by his dear sister, Susan Horan (Greg) and brother, Keith (Jackie) Maitland as well as nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Cleveland Animal Protective League or the Ohio Wildlife Federation.
