Obituary

Richard F. "Rick" Logue II, 74, of Grafton passed away Sunday December 18, 2022 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born September 14, 1948 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria area resident. Rick was employed at the Federal Aviation Administration in Oberlin as an Air Traffic Controller for 32 years, retiring in 2002. He served in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam era. He was currently serving as the ward 3 councilman on Grafton Village Council, was a past commander of the V. F.W. Post 3341, as well as serving as the canteen manager of the post. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lisa (nee-Williams); daughter, Tina (John) Seiling; sons, Richard F. Logue III (wife, MariClare) and Sean Logue (wife, Melissa); 6 grandchildren and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard F. and Bette J. Logue and a sister, Kathy Berkel. The family will receive friends Thursday 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Friday December 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, with full military honors.
