Richard F. Lantsberry, 85, of LaGrange passed away Saturday August 21, 2021 at his home following a brief illness. He was born June 23, 1936 in LaGrange and was a lifelong area resident. Richard worked at the Ridge Tool Company in Elyria as an Engineer for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles Club and the Grafton V.F.W. Post 3341 and was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Judy (nee-Essex); daughter, Courtney (Matt) Donovan; son, Jason (Rachel) Lantsberry; grandchildren, Chelsey, Shelby and Drew; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Jim) Steigner. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois Ann, Dorothy and Irene and his brother, John. The Family will receive friends on Thursday August 26, 2021 for a memorial visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of a 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis Tn. 38105-1905.
