Richard R. Jalowiec 69, of Sheffield Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday August 6, 2022 at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born August 10 1952 in Elyria.  Richard was a North Ridgeville High School graduate. He was the co owner of Lake Avenue Floor Covering in Elyria for more than twenty five years and continued his career in retail flooring sales with Ted's Floors in Lorain. Richard loved music, collecting juke boxes, bowling, travel and trips to casinos. Richard was known among his family and friends for his pure heart, his sense of humor, and his good natured pranks. Survivors include his partner; W. David Keast of Youngstown, a sister; Jeannette M. Brooks (Gary) of Elyria, two brothers; Jack Jalowiec (Marilyn) of Oberlin, Dennis Jalowiec (Carla) of North Ridgeville, and dear uncle and great uncle to many.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Henry and Thelma (nee: Finegan) Jalowiec, and a sister; Patricia Wearsch.  The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday August 12, 2022 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where a Celebration of Richard's life will be at 7:00 PM Friday immediately following visitation. Pastor Dan Reinke will officiate. Burial will be private.
