Richard A. Foglyano, 84, of Elyria passed away Wednesday October 24, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain following a brief illness. He was born May 5, 1934 in Elyria and was a Lifelong Elyria resident. Dick was part owner of T & J Movers in Elyria for 40 years, retiring in 1991, and also was a partner of East Oberlin Flea Market. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria and all of the fraternal organizations in Elyria and enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include his wife Carolyn (nee-Townsend); daughters, Laurie (Gary) McLaughlin and Toni Sue (Rick) Swiney; son, Mark (Annie) Foglyano; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Janice (John) Cherven; brother, Thomas Foglyano. He was preceded in death b y his parents, Anthony and Marguerite Foglyano and brothers, James and William Foglyano. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Tuesday October 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Frank P. Kosem, pastor of St. Jude Church will Officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
