Richard A. Ellis Sr. 47, of Wellington passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 22, 2019 at Mercy Health Allen Hospital in Oberlin. He was born February 3, 1972 in Elyria. Richie lived his life to its fullest; he loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed music, nature, hot rods, going to car shows, and taking road trips. Richie will be missed by all who loved him. Survivors include his son; Richard A. Ellis Jr. of Lorain, a grandson; Richard J. Ellis, three sisters; Lora Pierce of Elyria, Lisa Gast of Grafton, KeriAnn Ellis of Grafton, a brother; Brian Ellis of Cleveland, his fiancé; Beth Ferrebee of Wellington, and his long time friend; Virnita Adams of Cleveland. Richie was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur Jr. and Patty JoAnn (nee: Beckner) Ellis. The family will receive friends for a celebration of Richie's life from 5-8 PM on Tuesday November 26, 2019 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
