Rex Evelsizer Jr. 85, of Oberlin passed away Monday April 24, 2017 at Specialty Hospital in Amherst following a lengthy illness. He was born August 11, 1931 in East Liverpool, Ohio and was a graduate of Trinity High School in Washington,PA. Rex served his Country during the Korean war in the Air Force . Following his service he worked for the FAA as an air traffic controller. Rex and Donna were members of Henrietta 1st Methodist Church and American Legion in Sandusky. Rex enjoyed rebuilding airplanes, flying, golf , and hunting . Survivors include his wife of 56 years Donna Jean (nee Schwirian); daughters Lisa Farwick (Michael) of Loveland, Ohio and Carla Hamilton (Robert Chambers) of Brecksville; 4 grandchildren Jacob, Sawyer, Nathan and Sydney; brother Lyle (Donna) of Waynesboro,Virginia. Family will receive friends Monday May 1, 2017 from 5PM until time of Celebration of Life at 5:30 PM at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
