Rex Jarvis, Jr., 82, of Columbia Station, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Duck, West Virginia on January 11, 1942 to parents Rex Sr. and Tressie (nee: Anderson). Rex worked on the crank line at Ford Motor Company for 37 ½ years. He married his sweetheart, Patsy "Pat" (nee: Conley) in 1963. He was an avid deer hunter, and worked hard throughout his entire life providing for his family. He enjoyed working as a bee keeper in his spare time. Survivors include his wife, daughters, Lisa (Dave) Surman, Lora (Dan) Ebel, and Anita (Jeff Mattey) Ramage; sister, Dolores Lowder, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Stephanie Roig "Ebel." Family will receive friends from 4 PM – 7 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road in Elyria. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Royalton Road Cemetery in Columbia Township. The Reverend Chuck Behrens will Officiate.
