Regina Noreen Halpin, (nee-Burke), 78, of Vermilion passed away Saturday May 25, 2019 at the Amherst Manor Retirement Community following a brief illness. She was born August 18, 1940 in Elyria and was an Elyria resident for most of her life. Regina worked for the Elyria City Schools as a lunch aide and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion. Survivors include her daughters, Amy (Kurt) Terry and Nora (Steve) Roper; son, Nick (Monique) Halpin; grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan and Julie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel and a brother, Jack Burke. The family will receive friends Wednesday May 29, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church 731 Exchange St., Vermilion. The Rev. Fr. Ron Brickner will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Church.
