Rebecca A. (Becky) Vosburgh (nee Thompson), 90, of Elyria, passed away to her heavenly home on January 14, 2018, following a brief illness. She was born to Edison and Lucille (nee Morton) on January 30, 1927. She was born in Dover, Ohio, but lived most of her life in Elyria, Ohio. She was tired and looking forward to her eternal rest especially since Richard L. Vosburgh, her husband of 70 years, passed away in July of 2017. She was known to many by her acts of kindness and helping others when she could. While living in the Rosewood Avenue Apartments area she was known as "the puzzle lady" and could be seen walking the neighborhood daily. She leaves behind a large family that loves her greatly. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Don-deceased) Evans of Medina, Becky (John) Scheutzow and Bonnie (Terry) Stokley both of Elyria. She also has eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Virginia Ullom of Wooster, Ohio, Jeanette Oller of Creston, Ohio and Richard Thompson of Mountain View, Arkansas. Preceding her in death are her parents Edison and Lucille Thompson, brother Edison Thompson Jr., sister Evelyn Smith, son-in-law Donal Evans, a grandson, and a great grandson. Family will receive friends 5-8 PM Thursday, January18, 2018 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 19, 2018. Rev. Allen Polston will officiate. Burial Brookdale Cemetery (Elyria).
