Raymond "Ray" R. Ritter, Jr. age 70 passed away peacefully on October 11, 2023, surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.  After growing up in Westlake, Ray began his career as an apprentice meat cutter at Fazio's Grocery before attending the University of Alabama to pursue a degree in marketing.  Ray spent his professional career in advertising, eventually owning his own agency.  Ray was an avid sailor and loyal fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football.

Ray is survived by his long-time friend and companion, Jason Maiher, his brother David Ritter (Nancy) (Priscilla), sister Candace Karkoff (Bill), and many nieces and nephews.  A celebration of Ray's life will be held on November 4, 2023 between 11:30-2:30 at  Rosewood Grill located at 2033 Crocker Rd., Westlake, OH 44145.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sandusky Junior Sailors, Inc., PO Box 254, Huron, OH 44839.
