Raymond F. Baumbich, 78, of North Ridgeville passed away Thursday November 29, 2018 at Fairview Hospital following a brief illness. He was born April 9, 1940 in Cleveland and was a North Ridgeville resident for most of his life. Ray was employed at Household Finance, retiring as a vice-president in 1990. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where he was very active in many organizations. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Deborah (nee-Thomas); son, Raymond (Linda) Baumbich; 7 grandchildren; sister, Mary Baumbach; brothers, Danny and Jim Baumbich. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee' and son-in-law, Harry Decker, and a brother, Bob Baumbich. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 5, 2018 at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville. Burial will be private.
