Obituary

Randy Michael Baker, age 67, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 10, 2025. Born on July 14, 1957, in Amherst, Ohio, Randy was the beloved son of the late Earl Baker and Maxie L. (nee Coleman).

A proud and humble man, Randy spent his earlier years as a plasterer that finished many businesses around Indianapolis—crafting with his hands and building with heart. Known for his generosity, humor, and deep compassion, Randy was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or share a laugh, no matter the circumstance.

Randy had a passion for the simple joys in life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and was widely known among family and friends as a formidable foosball player. His quick wit, warm heart, and steady presence made him a friend to many and a treasure to all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda (nee Johnson), who was the love of his life and steadfast companion. He leaves behind his cherished children: daughter, Brittany Baker; sons, Brian Baker and Michael Lawson. Also surviving are his loving siblings: sisters, Violet (Tim) Holbrook and Lynne Baker; brothers, John (Theresa) Baker and Jeff (Dana) Baker. Randy was a proud grandfather to Blake, Dustin, Jenna, Bryce, Garnett, Devanie, and Harry, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Maxie, whose memories he carried with him always.
