Ralph H. "Sy" Ledyard 89, of Elyria passed away Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain following a brief illness. He was born July 10, 1925 in Elyria. Sy retired from The Elyria Waterworks where he worked in the Maintenance Department. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, country music, and working in his garage. Survivors include his wife of seventy years; Ida "Louise" (nee: Bozman), two daughters; Deanna Summers (Roger) of North Ridgeville, Debbie Thompson (Jim) of Grafton, two sons; Jeff Ledyard (Wanda) of Elyria Twp., Randy Ledyard (Kathy) of Sheffield Lake, additional survivors include ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren. Sy was preceded in death by a son; Ralph "Gene" Ledyard, his parents; Paul and Agnes (nee: O'Neil) Ledyard, two sisters; Dorothy Glass and Juanita Opalenik, and a brother; Paul Ledyard.
