Ralph S. Pierce, 79, of Elyria passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake with his family by his side. He was born February 26, 1939 in Nelsonville, OH. Ralph was the owner of Pierce Insurance Agency. He enjoyed studying genealogy, played football in high school, was a bible scholar, watching marching bands, member of First Baptist Church of Elyria, but especially enjoyed being with family and friends. Survivors include his wife Joyce C. (nee Chandler); daughters Robin (Harry) Marks of Houston, TX., Brenda (Brian) Sweet of Amherst; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Walter of Lima, Paul of Sterling Hts., MI. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Hazel Pierce (nee Baker); brothers William, Glen, Robert. Family will receive friends 11 AM until time of Celebration of Life at 12 Noon Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
