Ralph C. Chapman Jr., 78, of Duffield, VA. Passed away Friday April 11, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Ralph was born in Ft. Blackmore, VA. On July 25, 1946, to the late Ralph C. and Mildred (nee-Shupe) Chapman.

In addition to his parents, his sisters, Ruth Looney, Ruby Turner and Donna McClellan; brother, Trevor Chapman and his fur baby Sammy preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, June (nee-Dempsey) Chapman; daughters, Dawn Ody and Michele Bartlebaugh (significant other, Eli Sutton); son, Jeff Chapman; sisters Jackie Johnson (Paul), Cathy Hudnell, Nancy Best and Carol Myers; brother, Darrell Chapman (Kathy); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends Friday April 25, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.

The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate.

Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
