Rae Lynn Brady (nee Dreger), 66, of Elyria passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. She was born December 26, 1950 in Berea and was a graduate of Midview High School. She owned the Twist-N-Shake Ice Cream Shop in Elyria, she was loved by everyone she came in contact with and considered by many to be a best friend and second mother figure. Rae was the type of person to give the shirt off her back, a shoulder to cry on, the last dollar out of her pocket, a meal to anyone in need. Rae had a great personality, a contagious smile, and would listen to stories people had to tell. Rae enjoyed playing in the band in high school and most recently supporting her granddaughter while she played trumpet, vacationing, traveling to watch her daughters compete in athletics, being involved in Politics, and she was an animal lover. Rae especially enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time with family and considered anyone stopping by the house to be family, she will be greatly missed. Rae was also a longtime member of Grace Luthern Church. Survivors include her husband of 46 years Donald; daughters Nicole Compitello and Heather (Kevin) Baker both of Elyria; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Eloise, Lyle and Brady; sisters Karen (Wayne) Bryant of N. Carolina and Jacqueline (Dan) Fairbanks of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Mary Dreger (nee Chrowstowski).
