R. Scott Carroll 54, of Elyria Twp. passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday November 7, 2018. Scott was born October 9, 1964 in Coronado, CA. He was a 1983 Elyria Christian Academy graduate. Scott had worked as a driver for U.P.S. for thirty years. Among his passions was riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle; he also enjoyed working on cars with his sons, four wheeling, and woodworking. Survivors include his wife; Norma J. (nee: Haponek), three sons; Ryan S. Carroll of San Diego, CA, Cody N. Carroll (Camille) of Avon, Nathan A. Carroll of West Salem. Additional survivors include his father; Terry L. Carroll of Grafton Twp., three sisters; Jennifer L. Kime (Russ) of LaGrange, Stephanie A. Wilson (Bill) of Lagrange, Michele M. Howard (Brent) of Grafton Twp. Scott was preceded in death by his mother; Susan L. Carroll (nee: Blake). The family will receive friends from 1-4 PM Sunday November 11, 2018 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626.
