Phyllis Mae Prokay Backus (nee: Thompson) 71, of Elyria passed away Monday December 3, 2012. She was born November 26, 1941 in Ashland, KY. Phyllis was an avid Elvis collector, and enjoyed baking and crafts. Survivors include a daughter; Denise Bourne (Craig), two sons; John Prokay (Lisa), Kevin Backus (Jill), six grandchildren; Sherri Raleigh (Chuck), Stacy Berry (Tony), Chelsea Bourne, Craig Bourne Jr., Erika Feliciano, John Prokay II, thirteen great grandchildren, three brothers; James "Pete" Thompson (Donna), Minville Thompson Jr. (Judy), Lee Thompson (Mary Lou), and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of twenty three years; Charles T., a son; Ricky Prokay, a grandson; Noaha Raleigh, and her parents; Minville and Arbutus Jonas (nee: Riggs) Thompson.
