Obituary

Phillip T. Stoker, 40, of Grafton passed away Monday September 1, 2014 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake after suffering a apparent heart attack. He was born July 23, 1974 in Berea and was a Grafton resident for most of his life. Phil served as a Police Officer for the Village of Grafton for 18 years. He was a 1992 Midview High School graduate and member of both the Ohio Police Benevolent Association and the Fraternal Order of Police and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Survivors include his daughter, Marissa; sons, Cody and Nolan all of Lorain; mother, Nora 'Dottie" Everett of Grafton; sisters, Tabitha Aliff of Sheffield Village and Samantha Rowe of Grafton; 4 nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Carisle, step-father, Butch Stoker, grandmother, Dorothy Combs, and grandfather, Rufus Lindsey. The family will receive friends 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services and Burial will be private. In liue of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Phillip Stoker Family Fund at any FirstMerit Bank branch.
