Philip B. Hastings,80, of Elyria passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at Ames Family Hospice House with family by his side. He was born December 26, 1941 in Elyria and was a 1959 graduate of Elyria High School. Philip proudly served his Country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Elyria Eagles, Elyria Moose, Elyria Elks and Elyria Amvets post # 32. Survivors include his daughters, Laura Mitchell and Susan Hastings; sons, Michael (Shellie) Hastings and John Hastings; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Hastings (nee Barton); brother Terry Hastings; son-in-law, Daniel E. Mitchell. Family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of service at 12 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626. Burial will be in Ridgehill Memorial Park (Amherst Twp.), where full military honors will be provided by VFW post # 1079.
