Paul E. Whitman 71, of LaGrange passed away at home on Sunday November 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 8, 1942 in Elyria. Paul was the owner and operator of Advanced Comfort Systems which he started in 1997, and had previously worked for Luxury Heating for thirty seven years. He was a fifty year member of Sheet Metal Workers Local# 33. Paul was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (formerly Assumption) in Grafton for forty years. He was a Past President the Holy Name Society, Holy Name Man of The Year, served on parish council, and the church's building committee. Paul was also a member of Elyria Manor Hunt Club, and enjoyed nature. He had a great sense of humor, and will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife of fifty two years; Pat A. (nee: Goodwin), a daughter; Tami L. Mullins (Michael) of LaGrange, two sons; Steven E. (Michelle) of LaGrange, Jamie L. (Kristy) of Grafton, additional survivors include four grandchildren; Avery, Abbie, Amelia, Andrea, a sister; Bonnie M. Calendine of Elyria, four brothers; Larry (Gail) of Wakeman, Bill (Cheryl) LaGrange, Ted (Sherry) of Elyria, Wayne of Berea. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; William and Lenore (nee: Gerhart). The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday November 6, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday November 7, 2014. Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Paul's memory can be sent to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund.
