Paul William Schultz, 86, of Oberlin, Ohio passed eternally into his Heavenly home following a brief hospitalization.

He was born in Elyria in 1940 to Clifford and Elizabeth Schultz. He was one of six siblings and attended school at Belden and Midview High School. Working at various jobs after school, he met his future wife Dianne Wheeler and was married in April 1963. Two weeks later Paul was drafted and served his country in the Army. He did basic training in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and was then stationed in Germany for 2 years. Following his honorable discharge he and his wife Dianne built their current home. Paul worked at Elyria Plating and then Parker Hannifin until he retired.

Paul was preceded in death by Clifford and Elizabeth, his parents, his sister Wilomene Yonkoff and sister Ruby Brunelle.

He is survived by his wife Dianne (Wheeler) Schultz, his sister Marilyn Skidmore, sister Myra Byczynski, and brother Philip Schultz. He is also survived by his son Matthew Schultz (wife Lorie Honoshofsky Schultz) and his daughter Kimberly Schultz.

Grandchildren Natalie Roush, Holly Lowe, Andrew Schultz, Zach Thomas and 4 great grandchildren.

General viewing hours 11am-1pm on Tuesday September 15th at Laubenthal-Mercado funeral home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio. Immediately following the viewing there will be a procession to Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria for a graveside burial.
