Paul J. Rodjom Sr., 88, of Elyria passed away Wednesday September 9, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Elyria following a brief illness. He was born January 30, 1927 in Donora, PA. and was a Elyria resident for 30 years, coming from Berea. Paul was employed as a mechanic for United Airlines for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria, a member of the Buckeye Chapter of the United Airlines Retiree's and enjoyed Big Band music. Survivors include his daughter, Susan (Steve) Gutfranski of Columbia Station; son, Paul (Cathy) Rodjom Jr. of North Royalton; grandchildren, Steven (Sarah), Holly, Kelly, Abbey and Alex; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Aria. He was preceded in death by his wife Constance " Connie" on September 26, 2009, sister, Mary Janoso and brothers, Mike and Joe Rodjom. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Closing Prayers will be Tuesday September 15, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church 320 middle Ave., Elyria.
