Paul M. Matia 25, of Cincinnati (formerly of Medina) passed away unexpectedly on Monday November 9, 2015. He was born October 6, 1990 in Cleveland. Paul was an Eagle Scout, and was a 2009 Lawrence School graduate. He was the graduating classes Valedictorian, and a member of The National Honor Society, and Captain of the basketball team. Paul was awarded The Presidential Scholarship at Xavier University where he graduated in 2013. He was also the Xavier University mascot "The Musketeer". Paul was also a double major at William College of Business. He worked for American Fan as an accountant and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi a professional fraternity . Paul loved spending time with his family and friends. He constantly talked about sports, and was an avid Cleveland area sports fan. Paul enjoyed fishing and skiing. Survivors include his parents; Dr. James I. and Sharon M. (nee: Eisbrenner) Matia, a sister; Allison C. Matia of Berea, a brother; Vincent J. Matia of Medina. Additional survivors include his girlfriend; Alicia Visse of Cincinnati, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
