Paul Karpovich, 54, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday April 7, 2014. He was born February 10, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA. and was a Elyria resident for the past 14 years, coming from Huntsville, AL.. Paul worked as a machinist at Lincoln Electric in Cleveland and was a member of Grace Community Church in Grafton. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Kathryn "Kate" (nee-Hogan); daughter, Amanda Thrower of Huntsville, AL.; son, James Karpovich of Huntsville, AL.; brothers, Robert Karpovich of Philadelphia, PA., and Ronald Karpovich of Cape May, NJ.. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Community Church 12365 Grafton Rd. (State Rt. 57), Grafton. The Rev. Edward Wishart, pastor will Officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the church.
