Paul C. Hamker, 81, of Grafton passed away Sunday March 23, 2025 at The Cleveland Clinic in Avon following a long illness.  He was born April 28, 1943 in Elyria.  Paul was  a 1961 North Ridgeville High School graduate, and was a talented carpenter.  He enjoyed tinkering and was always helping friends and family with various projects.  Paul enjoyed working on the family farm, gardening, and spending time in Marblehead relaxing and fishing.  Survivors include his wife of sixty years; Jean "Jeanie" F. (nee: Diederich), four sons; Kenneth (Christine), Timothy (Mary), Thomas (Robin), Richard (Ann).  Additional survivors include eight grandchildren; Brent (Olivia), Josh (Mary), Lexie (Rick), Morgan (Marcus), Cassie, Sydney, Lizzie, Kale, and three great grandchildren; Edison, Theodore, Eden. Three sisters; Paul's twin sister Pauline Pachinger (Al), Marge Tappe, Marie Fritz, and a brother; Raymond (Karen).  Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Clarence and Catherine (nee: Taylor) Hamker, a sister; Mildred Finkle, and three brothers; Roy (Patricia), Clarence and Harris.  A Celebration of Paul's life will be held at the family farm at 12264 West Ridge Rd. Oberlin, Ohio where the family will receive friends from 1-4 PM on Saturday April 12th, 2025.  Burial will be private.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home of Elyria (440)322-4626.
