Patsy Irene "Dickenson" Torrence (nee Willis) 87 of Grafton passed away Tuesday June 17,2014 at the Abbewood following a long illness .She was born April 27,1927 in Coeburn, Virginia. Patsy worked for General Motors Company for 30 years as a machine operator , and was their calendar pin-up girl. She was also a member of VFW post #9871 in North Ridgeville. Patsy interests were Country Music , Gardening , socializing , dancing, and especially spending time with her family. She had a big giving heart for animals and anyone in need .survivors include her daughters Lovetta (John) McKenna of Columbiana , Sue (Russ) Phelps of N. Ridgeville , son Roger (Sandy) Dickenson, sisters JoAnn of Florida, Charlotte of Elyria , brothers Clarence "Bud" of Virginia , Douglas of Elyria , Louis of Florida , Denny of Elyria , Jackie of Elyria , 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her husbands Louis Dickenson and Pete Torrence , her parents Jesse and Edna , her sisters Frances , Boog and her brother Robert. Family will receive friends 9-11 AM Tuesday June 24,2014 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) Elyria 440-322-4626 , where services will be held at 11AM in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens of the Hospice of the Western Reserve will officiate.
