Patsy Irene "Dickenson" Torrence (nee Willis) 87 of Grafton passed away Tuesday June 17,2014 at the Abbewood following a long illness .She was born April 27,1927 in Coeburn, Virginia. Patsy worked for General Motors Company for 30 years as a machine operator , and was their calendar pin-up girl. She was also a member of VFW post #9871 in North Ridgeville. Patsy interests were Country Music , Gardening , socializing , dancing, and especially spending time with her family. She had a big giving heart for animals and anyone in need .survivors include her daughters Lovetta (John) McKenna of Columbiana , Sue (Russ) Phelps of N. Ridgeville , son Roger (Sandy) Dickenson, sisters JoAnn of Florida, Charlotte of Elyria , brothers Clarence "Bud" of Virginia , Douglas of Elyria , Louis of Florida , Denny of Elyria , Jackie of Elyria , 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her husbands Louis Dickenson and Pete Torrence , her parents Jesse and Edna , her sisters Frances , Boog and her brother Robert. Family will receive friends 9-11 AM Tuesday June 24,2014 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) Elyria 440-322-4626 , where services will be held at 11AM in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens of the Hospice of the Western Reserve will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery (Elyria). Family suggests those who wish may make donations to the Animal Protective League 8303 Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria,Ohio 44035.
