Patrick Neill Yost, 60, of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday September 26, 2020 at his home with his family at his side, after a very courageous battle with brain cancer. Pat was born September 26, 1960 to Jack and Nancy Yost , (both deceased). Pat was born and raised in Elyria and moved to North Ridgeville in 2019. Patrick was a 1979 graduate of Elyria High School and LCJVS in the tool and die program. He was most recently employed by Voss Aerospace Industries in Cleveland. Survivors include his wife of 35 years. Molly (nee-Gunderson); sons, David Neill (Nicole) Yost and Sean Patrick Yost; ; granddaughter, Vera Rose Yost; sisters, Jackie Yost, Kath (Don) Garnett and and Deborah (Ron) Henthorn; brother-in law, Brian (Jeanine) Gunderson; nieces, Erin (Andrew) Garnett, Carrie (Nate) Crutcher, Kate Henthorn (Trey), Lisa Gunderson (Kumni and Anna Henthorn. He is also survived by great nephews and nieces, as well as cousin-in-laws who became more brothers and sisters than cousins. Patrick enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchild, the golf course, cooking/sharing a meal. back packing, fishing and music, especially Pink Floyd. Pat was preceded in death by his grandson, Braeden Neill Yost in 2016, In-laws, Gordon and Rose Gunderson and sister, Mary Beth Yost in 2010. Per Pat's wishes, there will be no visitation. There will be at Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 2, 2020 at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick will be the Celebrant. Private family interment will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Also immediately following Mass the family will host a Celebration of Life for family and friends at The Elyria United Polish Club 1501 Middle Ave., Elyria to gather and share memories, food/drink, laughter and Love. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
