Patricia W. Willemin

Patricia W. Willemin (nee: Knox), 85, of Elyria, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 1, 1941, to Thomas and Winnifred (nee: Dale) Knox.

Patricia was a vibrant and energetic woman who embraced life with enthusiasm and purpose. She found great joy in the outdoors, spending countless hours tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, or simply sitting on the front porch admiring the flowers, plants, and bushes in the yard. Always active, she loved being outside and could often be seen walking or riding her bike through the neighborhood.

At home, Patricia was a lover of music and deeply appreciated its ability to bring people together and enrich everyday life. She loved playing cards and games, spending many wonderful nights at the kitchen table laughing and playing with family and friends. She was also a licensed amateur radio operator, deeply enjoying the unique friendships and connections she made across the world through her hobby. As a mother, she was a constant, supportive fixture in her children's lives, always showing up to cheer them on at their school, band, and sports events. Active, curious, and determined, she approached each day with a positive spirit, and her dedication and zest for life will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Diane (Thomas Runholt) Willemin; her sons, Michael D. Willemin and Stephen (Michele) Willemin; her cherished grandchildren, Duncan, Derrick, Debra, Stephen, Jessica, and Courtney; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, David.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) in Elyria. A private burial at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria will take place at a later date.
