IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
(Wagner) Baluh
July 18, 1938 – July 15, 2024
Patricia Ann Baluh (nee:Wagner), 85, of Avon Lake passed away on Monday July 15, 2024, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born on July 18, 1938, in Elyria, Ohio, to John and Pearl Wagner, Pat was known for her unwavering patience, selflessness, and kind heart. She showed resilience and grace through life's challenges, while remaining compassionate and forgiving. She taught her loved ones, by example, to be empathetic and to avoid harboring grudges. She found comfort in her faith in God.
She is survived by her children; Michael Brattoli (Linda), Chris DeCapua (Ron Schaefer), and Terri Wypasek (Michael), first husband, Martin Brattoli, grandchildren, Jennifer Janas (Matthew), David Brattoli, Sarah Nance (Joseph), and Alyssa DeCapua, great grandchildren, Elliott and Eva Janas, her dearest friend Joy Frabotta, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Pearl Wagner, brother; David, infant granddaughter, Catherine Brattoli, second husband; William Baluh, and son-in-law; Rod DeCapua.
Patricia graduated from Elyria High School in 1956 where she performed as a majorette. She worked as a caregiver at Sunair Children's Asthma Hospital in Tujunga, California in the late 1960s. The family returned to Ohio in the early 1970s and Patricia began her career at the Murray Ridge Adult workshop where she retired in 1998. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, gardening, and being with family. As a young woman she loved horseback riding, playing the piano, climbing trees, roller skating and bowling. She enjoyed swimming and sitting outside to enjoy a nice cold glass of sweet tea. She had a green thumb just like her mother. She was an amazing cook and loved hosting holiday gatherings for family and friends. She loved shopping for just about anything.
