Patricia J. Ostle (nee Davis), 96 of North Ridgeville and formerly of Whispering Pines, North Carolina passed away Saturday April 1, 2017 at O'Neill Health Care in North Ridgeville . Mrs. Ostle was born April 13, 1920 in Warlingham, Surrey, England. She survived the bombing of England during WWII, and in 1950 left her family to emigrate to America along with her two children and her husband Clifford V. Ostle. During her time in America, Mrs. Ostle lived in the Cleveland,Ohio area, and in several locations in Indiana. She was an avid reader and golfer and had a great talent for sewing and crafts. While raising her family she still found time to travel the world with her husband of 58 years, helping at conferences and supporting him in his business. Eventually the couple retired to Whispering Pines, North Carolina, where they resided for 14 years. In 2000 they returned to Ohio to be closer to their daughter. Surviving are her son, Glenn V. Ostle of Charlotte, North Carolina; her daughter Stephanie V. Hanlon of Elyria, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her sister Evelyn Hall of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; her brother Maurice Davis of Smallfield, Surrey, England. Private family services will be held. Burial Private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or donations, that friends and family simply remember Patricia Ostle for her elegance and wit, her incredible memory and storytelling ability, and her knack of being able to befriend everyone she met. If she were here today she would probably draw on her British background and encourage everyone who cared for her to simply "stay calm and carry on."
