Pamela J. Jenkins (nee Sims) 64, of Elyria passed away at home on Sunday January 26, 2020 following a long illness. She was born July 26, 1955 in Cleveland. Pam was a 1973 Midview High School graduate, and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton. She worked as a Para Professional with the Midview School District. Pam loved spending time with her grandchildren, and attending their baseball games. Survivors include her husband of forty seven years; James E. Jenkins, a son James E. Jenkins (Trisha) of Elyria, additional survivors include two grandsons; J.J. and Emmett Jenkins, a sister; Terri A. Zunis (David) of Elyria, two brothers; Michael A. Sims (Julie) and Larry S. Sims (Dian) all of Grafton. Pam was preceded in death by her parents; Anthony and Nancy (nee: Wohlebar) Sims. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday January 30, 2020 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM Friday January 31, 2020 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton. Reverend Father John P. Seabold, Pastor will be the Celebrant.
