Owen P. "Woody" Woodcock, 78, of Elyria passed away Wednesday November 23, 2016 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born June 4, 1938 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Woody was employed as the head mechanic at Pais Automotive in Elyria for many years. He enjoyed boating, fishing and his 3 cats and was also an avid NASCAR racing fan. Survivors include his son, Jeffrey (Karen) Woodcock of LaGrange; grandchildren, Ashley and Dylan; brothers, George and Robert Woodcock. He was preceded in death by his wife Susan in 2008 and a son, James. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be Saturday December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
