Obituary

Opal Mae Howell (nee Wilson), 92, of Grafton passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Wesleyan Village in Elyria following a lengthy illness. She was born January 21, 1926 in Huntington, WV. , and lived in Grafton since 1958. Opal was a sales clerk for J.C. Penny. She was a member of Church of the Open Door, where she was in Ladies Bible Study and taught Sunday School. Opal enjoyed reading and taking walks. Survivors include her daughter Vickie (Eugene) Turner of Elyria; son Kenneth (Maria) Howell of San Diego, CA.; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren;7 step grandchildren; brother Donald Wilson of Huntington, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer; parents Lawrence and Hazel Wilson (nee Wright); grandson Daniel Turner; sister Mary Lee Holt; brothers Cecil Wilson, William Abshire. Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service at 12 noon Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
