Olive I. Way, (nee-Wingard), 99 of Elyria ascended into heaven on Thursday May 3, 2012 following a brief illness. She was born September 14, 1912 in Home, PA., and was a Elyria resident since 1991, coming from Indiana, PA.. Olive worked for many years as a sales clerk at various women's clothing stores in Indiana, PA.. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Elyria and enjoyed playing the piano. Survivors include her sons, Donald (Sandra) Way of Avon Lake and Dean (Darlene) Way of Lancaster, PA.; grandchildren, Deborah, Danielle, Sean and Deana; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell in 1994, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
