Obituary for James Charles Pycraft Sr.

James Charles Pycraft Sr., 61, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He was born April 6, 1960 in Elyria and was a 1978 graduate of Avon Lake High School. James was a self-employed cabinet maker. He was a youth leader at Abbe Rd. Baptist Church, wrestling coach for Keystone Local Schools since 1995, owned Pycraft Farm Market, and was a member of 1st Baptist Church of LaGrange. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Donna (nee Sisson); daughter, Jeannine M. (Adam) Bohach; sons James C. Pycraft Jr. (Annie), John C. Pycraft (Jeanette); 6 grandchildren; mother Patricia Pycraft (nee Bokay); sisters, Joyce D. (Kirk) Wesselink, Debi (Rick) Schafrick; brothers, Robert (Bette) Pycraft, Thomas (Karen) Pycraft. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Pycraft. Family will receive friends from 2PM until time of Service at 7PM Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the 1st Baptist Church of LaGrange 200 Church St LaGrange, Ohio 44050. Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 440-322-4626.
