O. Arden Wilfong, 83, of Grafton passed away Wednesday November 30, 2016 at his home following a brief illness. He was born September 1, 1933 in Buckhannon, WV. And was a Grafton resident for most of his life. Arden was the owner-operator of Wilfong Photography Studio and also produced teaching videos at Case Western Reserve University. He was a member of the Gathering Community Church in Elyria, served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and enjoyed traveling in his motor home, camping, computer work and time with his family. He especially enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Alaska and Europe with his wife and will be sadly missed by his beloved canine companion, Casey. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Diane (nee-Cordy); daughter, Debra Lynn (Chris) Wilfong of London: son, Dennis Arden (Teresa) Wilfong of Grafton; grandchildren, Robert Arden (Kimberly) Wilfong and Rebecca Ann (Chris) Cagle; great-grandchildren, Riley Ann Wilfong, Thea Marie Cagle and Tyler Arden Wilfong; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Opha and Rosa Mae Wilfong and a sister, Virginia Mae Reid. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Tom Shumate will Officiate. Burial will be at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., where members of V.F.W.
