Norman Bernard Diederich 64, of Lorain passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 6, 2012. Norm was a 1965 North Ridgeville High School graduate. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force in 1968 during the Vietnam War. He had worked at U.S. Steel as a millwright and retired in 2003. Norm enjoyed spending time with family and friends, lakeside living, boating, and fishing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include two sisters; Marlene Walker (David) of Elyria, Norma Varndell (Ron) of Dublin, CA., and a brother; Gerald Diederich of Hawks, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Saturday March 24, 2012 at Beaver Park Yacht Club 5980 West Erie Ave. Lot # 2 Lorain, Ohio 44053. Burial will be private at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. Memorial contributions in Norman's memory can be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
