Norma Jean "Jeannie" Hindman, (nee-Niblett), 63, of Elyria, passed away Friday May 24, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. She was born January 20, 1950 in Cleveland and was a Elyria resident for the past 14 years. Jeannie retired from the Perk Co./Tech Ready Mix Concrete Company in Cleveland where she worked as a controller. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Robert "Bob"; daughter, Lizzie (Kris) Overstreet of Grafton; grandchildren, Zeali Jean, Kai, Elijaha, and Rylan; step-sons, Matt Hindman of Colorado and Rob Hindman of Ravenna; sisters, Terri Avsec of Georgia and Cheryl Niblett of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Norma Niblett and a sister, Kathy Niblett. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
