Nora L. Haas, (nee-Tait), 86, of Elyria passed away Sunday March 4, 2012 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville following a brief illness. She was born September 12, 1925 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Nora was employed at the former General Industries in Elyria for 27 years, where she retired as the Chief Industrial Nurse in 1987. She was a member of the Gathering Community Church in Elyria. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Risher of Elyria; son, Timothy Haas of Elyria; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2009, and sisters, Beatrice Cordy and DeLaurice McDaniels. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
