Ninetta M. Zaorski, (nee-Porter), 89, of Elyria passed away Sunday at the Center Ridge Health Campus in North Ridgeville following a long illness. She was born September 9, 1921 in Brownsville, PA. and was a Elyria resident since 1955, coming from Pittsburgh, PA.. Ninetta worked for the Elyria City Schools in the Food Service Department for 12 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Elyria where she was the former prayer chain coordinator and helped with the hot meals program. Survivors include her daughter, Sally Moore in Elyria; 2 granddaughters, Suzanne Gray and Pamela Bauer; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Della (Donald) Cochrane of Rice's Landing, PA. she was preceded in death by her husband, John Zaorski in 1996, sisters, Sarah, Alice and Katherine and brothers, Lawrence, Charles, Ralph, George and Thomas. The family will receive friends Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at 5:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Rick Stein, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church will Officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church 200 east Ave., Elyria.
