Obituary

Nina E. Long, (nee-Yeich), 89, of Elyria passed away Tuesday October 16, 2012 at the Center Ridge Health Campus in North Ridgeville following a brief illness. She was born November 21, 1922 in Shamokin, PA. and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. Nina worked as a inspector for the Moen Corporation in Elyria for 17 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Elyria and enjoyed camping and was a avid Cleveland Browns fan. Survivors include her daughters, Charlette Judge of Cincinnati, Nancy Derk and Diane Wiseman both of Elyria; son, Randy Long of Elyria; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, LaRae Shandry of Borne, TX. And Joan Rohrer of Oxford, PA.; brother, Rev. Dr. Melvin Yeich of Borne, TX.; She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Long in 2000, a sister, Arlene Yeich and a brother, Elwood Yeich. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. 440-322-4626. Pastor Bob Wickens of Church of the Open Door will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
