Nicklaus P. "Butch" Kennedy, 74, of North Ridgeville passed away Friday September 18, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. He was born July 21, 1941 in Orton, WV. And grew up in the Grafton area. Butch worked as a Optician for many years, retiring in 2000. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving two tours of duty in Viet Nam, and was a heart transplant recipient in 2001. Butch enjoyed working on and restoring automobiles and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Shannon (nee-Chivilo); daughters, Krista (Doug) Sidell, April Kennedy, Kara (Jim) Kennedy-Burge and Brianna Kennedy; son, Patrick Kennedy; grandchildren, Nicklaus, Jacob, McKayla, Noah and Anna; sisters, Carolyn Whitesel, Patricia Stump, Connie (Edward) Adams, Elizabeth (Jack) Moore and Norma (Rodney) Smith; brother, John (Ann) Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Avis Kennedy, and brothers, Ronald, Marvin and Harlan "Sug" Kennedy. All Services and Burial will be private.
