Ned W. Gang, affectionately known as "Jupe" by those who cherished him the most, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 following a brief illness. Celebrating his eighty eighth birthday not long ago, Ned, originally from Lakewood, relocated with his family to Elyria at a young age. For nineteen years, he was a beloved volunteer at Elyria Memorial Hospital.

Ned had a profound love for the outdoors and nature, a passion he shared with many family members. Even well into his eighties, he could be found hiking his favorite nature trail. In his younger years, Ned took pride in working on the Great Lakes lake freighters. Upon returning to Elyria, he assumed the role of terminal manager at Jones Motor, working in trucking and eventually retiring as a proud Teamster. Ned will be fondly remembered by his loved ones for his infectious smile and his generosity towards others.

He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty five years, Marlyn Gang, and his sister Charlene Gerber. Surviving relatives include his son Kriss Gang, daughter Lorie Droddy, grandchildren Samantha and Ashley Droddy, Eric and Steven Gang, as well as great-grandchildren Gabriella and Cole Droddy.
