Nancy M. Anderson, (nee-Slusher), 89, of Elyria passed away Saturday December 31, 2022 at U. H. Elyria Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1933 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Nancy was a 1955 graduate of the former M.B. Johnson School of Nursing in Elyria and worked as registered nurse at both the former Elyria Memorial Hospital and also Lorain Community Hospital, retiring as an on-call nurse. She served as a lieutenant in the United Sates Air Force and was a member of the LaPorte United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and adored her grandchildren and also enjoyed art, reading, and the outdoors. Survivors include her sons, Bob (Heidi) Anderson Jr., Jim (Susan) Anderson, John Anderson, Rick Anderson and Tim (Jody) Anderson; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bert" Anderson Sr. in 2013, 4 sisters 3 brothers. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 8, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Laporte United Methodist Church, 2071 Grafton Rd., Elyria. A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Church. The Rev. William Baker, pastor, will Officiate. Private burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
