Nancy Lee Fate (née Sayers), age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Born on December 7, 1944, Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a compassionate caregiver throughout her life.

Nancy dedicated many years of her professional life to helping others as a registered nurse, working at Elyria Medical Center and later at the North Ridgeville Senior Center. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart also found expression during her time at Moulds Nursery, where her love for gardening blossomed.

A lifelong nature enthusiast, Nancy found great joy in bird watching and tending to her garden. She especially cherished time spent on the family farm, a place filled with treasured memories and peace. Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Bernard "Barry" Fate; her daughter, Debbie Fate-Mental (Ken); sons, Robert Fate (Molly) and David Fate (Angela); and her adored grandchildren, Madison, Zachary, Ella, Tyler, Michael, Margot, and Claire. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Hazel (née Cook) Sayers.

Nancy's life was one of service, care, and deep-rooted love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. All funeral services are private.
