Nancy C. Patterson (nee Boreske), 79, passed away Thursday, November 16,2017 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph. She was born December 24, 1937 in Elyria and was a lifelong resident. Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Elyria High School , she went on to attend Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education , where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. After college, Nancy returned to teach elementary school in Elyria for 10 years, while teaching she took classes from Kent State University and a special phonics class at Monmouth College in Moline, Illinois. In 1969 she moved to Columbus to teach in the upper Arlington School system, until her retirement in 1993. Nancy attended classes and workshops at O.S.U.. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Sorority and she was listed in Who's Who in American Education. Nancy was a member of Elyria Polish Club Auxillary and N. Ridgeville Senior Center. In 1979, Nancy met and married her husband Robert. She and Robert were married for 27 years until his passing in 2007. Survivors include her niece JoEllen (Kevin) Williams; great niece Katie Williams both of Elyria; cousins Barbara Bruder of Avon Lake and Esther Barbaresso of Avon; special friends Randy Romeis and Chet (Carol) Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; parents John and Blanche Boreske; sister Carole Bechemer. There will be No visitation or Services. Burial Private.
