Nancy L. Gerber, (nee-Poulsen), 57, of Loudonville and formerly of Elyria passed away Sunday August 2, 2015 at the Northcentral Hospice House in Ashland following a brief illness. She was born September 30, 1957 in Elyria and was a Eaton Township resident for most of her life. Nancy was the co-owner along with her husband of Gerber's Garden Center and Landscaping in Elyria. A 1976 Midview High School graduate, she spent the past several years tending to the family farm and nursery in Loudonville. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Doug; sons, Doug (Katie) Gerber of Eaton Township and Jacob Gerber of Grafton; grandchildren, Audrey, Penelope, Madison and Jacob; mother, Marjorie Poulsen (nee-Kazmierczak) of Grafton; sisters, Jean (Robert) Reams of Sullivan and Barbara (Bill) Diedrick of West Salem; sister-in-law, Shirley (Mick) Burrer of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her father Oswald Poulsen and a great-niece, Aubrey Hicks. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 5, 2015 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
