Nancy Suzanna George (nee: Hunt) 81, of Wellington passed away Monday May 6, 2019 at home following a brief illness. She was born June 11, 1937 in Olean, NY. She had worked for Ford Motor Company in Lorain, then transferred to and retired from the Ford plant in Kentucky. Nancy was also a former Medina County Sheriff's Deputy. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Elyria, and was a life time member of Amvets Post #32 Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy treasures spending time with her family and friends, and loved providing home health care for others. She enjoyed designing floral arrangements. Survivors include three daughters; Monique M. "Nikki" George of Wellington, Sonata R. "Nata" Black (Stanley) of Wellington, Kimberly A. Strauss (Bob) of Elyria, a son; Guiseppi "Joe" George of Oberlin. The family will receive friends 1-4 PM Sunday May 12, 2019 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where closing prayers will be at 10:30 AM Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday May 13, 2019 at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave. Elyria, where Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrick, Pastor will be the Celebrant.
